Quincy Update

My heartfelt thanks to everyone who sent me notes about Quincy.
I can't believe a week has gone by sooo fast, yet the day of Quincy's surgery felt like a week on its own.

The true test of a Veterinary Doctor's barn-stall-manner is if they can assure the patient and the family. Our Vet did just that, he was great with Quincy and with us.
He started with a joke and then asked how I was doing; 'are you kidding me'.... shake, shiver, pout and then I cried.  I was so nervous for Quincy.
I knew the surgery was the best thing for Quincy; his eye had to be removed to ensure the cancer would not spread further. But, it didn't make my decision any easier. I questioned the vet again.   He assured me one more time; the surgery needed to be performed.  No more discussion, it was time to get work.

Quincy was cranky, Cranky, CRANKY. 'What, no breakfast?'  He was searching our faces, 'have you lost your minds'
'Get the food'; he nickered. It has to wait Quincy.

The Vet performed the surgery on Quincy's eye in his stall at the barn. We gently laid Quincy down and got to work;  the vet, his trainer and myself.  Absent from the process was my daughter; she couldn't bear to be there.

During the surgery Quincy became unsteady; his breathing was irregular.  I started to cry (and pray). What am I doing; I questioned myself.  Then I got down on the stall floor and started Reiki and IET on our Gentle Giant.   I could feel the energy heat up my hands as I called in my angels and guides.   I could feel Quincy relax and noticed his breathing become regular again.
I smiled. I breathed.  I knew Quincy realized that I was there; and as long as I was calm, so was he.   I opened my eyes, looked up and could see tears in the eyes of my trainer.  We didn't talk, but we knew Quincy was OK.

Only a couple of hours later Quincy was standing,  I was holding him until he was steady.   He put his head down and grabbed the zipper on my coat; he pulled it up and down rubbing his head on my chest.
Then Quincy stopped and left his head there for a minute........ close to my heart, I could feel a huge thank you from him. At that point it dawned on me, Quincy has been silly for months. He was  spooking at everything and seeing shadows in his stall.
My horse had been in pain; not that he wasn't after the operation, but I saw for a moment the old Quincy we know.

Quincy was eyeing the bale of hay across from his stall, he was hungry.   As soon as time allowed we gave Quincy his hay back.  We know our Gentle Giant well and I know he smiled at us, he was so hungry.  Quincy spooked once and almost launched himself out of his stall.  Then he looked at me as if to say 'what the heck, you know I can't see'.  I had a chuckle with him and we had a snuggle together.

Like anyone healing, after a few days you get restless, Quincy was no different.... he wanted out.   I wanted to baby him and he was having no part of it.  Quincy's trainer set him loose after a walk around his paddock.  Our boy Quincy is back into his regular routine out by the hay bale and his daily grooming.  He is happy, his head held high. "Look at me." He trots around snorting. 'I am beautiful', I can hear him say.

Yes he is,  "Our Gentle Giant".

Getting to Know Your Angels

Archangel Michael is denoted as the greatest of all Angels in writings throughout the world. His name means; 'He who is like God'. Michael is one of the most popular Angels within several spiritual and religious traditions.  Archangel Michael’s leadership role is undisputed, He is called The Prince, Greater Lord, Director of the Angelic Kingdom, or Commander of the Heavenly Host and of the heavens viceroy.

Lapis lazuli is the crystal that relates harmoniously to Archangel Michael; the Archangel of protection, courage, and truth.

Archangel Michael is, in many circles, thought to be the Patron Saint of the Warrior. Police officers and soldiers regard Him as their patronMichael polices Heaven and earth, even today.   In prayers we ask Archangel Micheal to protect our police, who are protecting the good citizens from the evil ones.  Michael is the Archangel in Heaven who led God’s forces against Satan and defeated him. It was from this action that Michael has always been connected with the forces of good winning over the forces of evil. Pope Pius XII made Archangel Michael the Patron Saint of police in 1950.

When working with Archangel Michael, he shows us how to increase our ability to deal with problems, helps us cut through all distractions, and negotiate a path to serenity. While Michael is a warrior, his victory is obtained with gentleness.  Michael, the Angel and Ruler of the first ray, works from the first ray of blue. He protects us from evil intentions and false illusions.

Call on Archangel Michael to assist you if feel the presence of negative forces. He can remove negative energy from any area in your life.  Whenever you feel afraid or vulnerable call on Michael for instant protection mentally, physically, emotionally and for personal courage.

"Archangel Michael I need your help.
Please come to me now!"

Gentle Giant

We all have someone in our life family member, friend, co-worker, who has had an experience with cancer.  Not many people think of the animals in our life that are inflicted with this insidious disease.

I have treated many horses and dogs with Rieki and Integrated Energy Therapy, with great success.   I first noticed that our own horse, Quincy (Just a Coincidence) had a growth on his eyeball and through months of monitoring the growth began to affect his vision and sense of people around him.  After unsuccessful attempts to take just the lump, the final decision was made to remove his eye.

Aysha riding Quincy her 'Gentle Giant'
Late last week my daughter Aysha and I faced the somber news that Quincy will lose his eye.   This is where I feel helpless; my abilities with Reiki and IET are not enough to stop God's will.

I do however, have the ability to surround Quincy with Angels and healing energy to help protect him.   My abilities to help animals means that I can communicate to Quincy and send messages of encouragement and love.

Today is surgery day.   I ask my readers to please say a prayer for Quincy and all animals who are suffering; keep them in your thoughts because animals do not have the voice that we do as humans to convey their fear or pain.   Quincy like most animals will remain stoic throughout the process.

We love our "Gentle Giant".

The Art of Being Grateful

The art of being grateful is a tough one. Many of us live such busy lives that it is hard to take the time each day to reflect upon what we are grateful for. The list of what needs to be done and who we need to see - your children, your spouse, your family; the list seems to grow at times. Our minds go a thousand miles a minute and often without a positive thought or image in the process.

I start each day with thoughts of three things that I am grateful for. This starts my day on a positive note and often the focus of being grateful helps to attract positive people around me. I find that I can jump out of bed in the morning and anticipate the day with a positive outlook....... the sun seems brighter........ the rain feels warmer........ and the day seems to fly by.

I find great pleasure in going out of my way to smile at people. At least once a day I do something special to get someone through their day; a kind word or a simple gesture like sending an Angel to someone. A phone call to someone who is shut in just to say 'I'm thinking of you', or checking on a young Mom with small children to see how her day is; it all makes a difference. Try a compliment mirrored with a smile to your spouse.

It is easy to be negative, to be irritable, or to walk around without making eye contact. It can be far too simple to take your children, family and friends for granted.

Every day may not be a stellar day, but there is something positive and good each and every day.

Bring some sunshine and joy into your life, laugh at yourself, open up and reflect on what you may be grateful for.

Today I am grateful that you read my blog.

Today I am grateful to be surrounded by great friends.

Today I am grateful to be blessed with insight.

Leave a comment and tell me what you are grateful for.

TAROT

Tarot dates back to the 15th century throughout Europe. However, it wasn't until the 18th century that using tarot cards for divination became prevalent. Tarot cards are broken down into two groups  ::  The Major Arcana and The Minor Arcana. The 22 cards that make up the Major Arcana represent key or life turning experiences. The Minor Arcana represents our day-to-day living experiences and has four suits similar to playing cards :: Wands, Swords, Pentacles, Coins & Cups.

The Major Arcana are broken into three groups consisting of seven cards each which the first group symbolizes :: The Realm of the Material World, The Realm of the Intuitive Mind, The Realm of Change.
Many of the Major Arcana cards illustrate an archetypal figure, a figure that is demonstrative of the whole fundamental nature of a type of person. These include a Mother Figure, an Authority Figure, a Strong Figure, a Religious Leader, and many more.  Archetypes can be representative of real people, whether it is in part or as a figurative symbol in a persons life.

Each Minor Arcana suit has a distinct quality all its own. In the Minor Arcana the suits run in fours :: Four Suits, Four Seasons, Four Elements, Four Situations {love, money, work, relationships}. Our everyday experiences are a blend of these four approaches.
Each and every suit represents a distinct aspect of the life of our consultant and each card can be used in a tarot cards spread. The tarot cards will show you how the different suit energies impact your life.

The suits are structured much like our everyday playing cards with ten numbered cards (Ace - Ten) and four court cards (King, Queen, Knight and Page).

In the upcoming weeks I will share the meanings of each of the cards and how to use tarot to enhance your life. You will discover how to use tarot as a tool to help you get in touch with yourself, or people, and the circumstances around you.

KARMA

The hypothesis of Karma is somewhat misunderstood.  Karma is about living a balanced life. For each action of free will there is goodness or fatalism of the act that creates a ripple effect in our soul's life stream. Karma and reincarnation are inseparable. Cause and effect = continual cycle.

" Dear Sir/Madam,
I regret to inform you that have run up serious debts of bad karma. Unless you dedicate some serious time immediately in accumulating good karma,a series of unfortunate misfortunes until your debt is paid off."

Today many of us use the term 'what goes around, comes around' or 'you reap what you sow'. If we live our lives by the code of wishing people happiness and goodwill, of performing charitable actions, the universe banks these positive actions and rewards us at some point down the road. However, by performing the song 'what's in it for me', and expecting an immediate reward, will bring disappointment. Acts of kindness and goodness are only genuine if delivered to the universe with a non-self-serving-spoon.

We all experience days were we are cut off by an overly aggressive driver, a boss who is unfairly condemning. It is then that you might like to 'wish' something unkind for them or deliver a bucket of explicit language. Instead invite good karma in to your life; send them light, wish them a safe drive. By practicing this little wish you will put yourself in a better mood, put a smile on your face and a dollop in the vast bucket of karma.
As one of my favourite authors Wayne Dyer says ::
'How people treat you is their Karma; how you react is yours."

"Thoughts lead on to purposes,
purposes go forth in action,
actions form habits,
habits decide character,
and character fixes our destiny."
Tryon Edwards

Because You Asked

I AM BLESSED.

As a psychic there are many questions that I am asked that are beyond the things that people want to know about themselves. One of the most repetitive questions is 'how did you know you are psychic?

As a child I knew things, it would bring in extra money to keep quiet or to stand in line and get the treasured weekly red sucker. I would hear my name called and I would see things that no one else could see.
As a teenager I had dreams that would come true. I would tell people things and a lot of kids avoided me. I was different. I still am.

When I reached my 20's I shut 'it' off. I did not want this. I could not let people know that I thought perhaps I was crazy. When you tell a doctor that you here voices they suggest meds or quiet rooms. I cried a lot.

After years of therapy I still heard the voices and knew things. I went to see a psychic who wanted to know why I was not using my 'gift'. I quickly looked for some unknown package that perhaps was beside me; only to realize the psychic was talking about all the things that I have labeled as me being 'crazy' - and the medical field validating. I understood those childhood 'friends' were really there and why no one else could 'see'; why I knew things about other people, those who passed away and why they may have messages for someone.

I reopened my mind and started to use my ability as the gift that it is, the gift that I was meant to have. I stopped crying. I felt happiness again. I still felt different and odd from most people, and somehow that I didn't quiet fit in.
People seemed drawn to me to tell their life stories; and I could fill in the blanks without even knowing them. People would tell me how happy they were and I could see that they were not. I could see when people were lonely, and that it wouldn't be long before they found happiness. I knew when my husband would be mad at me on my way home from work and I wouldn't go home.
I went to a psychic trade show and saw a tarot reader there; I read my own cards before she did. She sat there very quietly and asked why I wasn't reading at the show. I had no answer for her, and yet I had the answers. I felt at home.

At family gatherings my sister use me as the entertainment and pimp me out to her friends to do readings, which eventually lead me to doing readings on a regular basis outside of family functions.
I am now in my comfort zone. I don't feel out of place or different any more. I am ME. Yes, I know things, I see things sometimes, I hear things. Throughout the years I have been able to help people in many facets of their life; I help them look down the road and see what might be coming their way. This is were I am meant to be. I am Blessed.

In my personal life I am blessed with a husband, four children, two dogs and several horses.

Getting to Know Your Angels

Zadkiel, 'Righteousness of God', is the Archangel of benevolence and mercy, and the patron Angel of all who forgive. As an Angel of Mercy, many claim that Zadkiel is the unnamed Angel of God who holds back Abraham to prevent him from sacrificing his Son. In many of the illustrations of Zadkiel he is usually shown holding a dagger.

Isaac Newton discovered that a ray of sunlight passing through a prism will separate into seven colours : red, orange, yellow green blue, indigo and violet. The colour violet has the shortest wavelength but the highest frequency of visible light in the colour spectrum. it is the transitional vibration leading to the next octave of colour and light.

Amethyst is thought to be the symbolic condensation of the violet ray. It is the birthstone for the astrological sign of Aquarius; the sign representing freedom and the coming of the new "new clear age of consciousness'  on this planet.

The seventh ray is governed by Archangel Zadkiel and Amethyst. Amethyst is one of the most spiritual stones it opens intuition and enhances psychic gifts.

FORGIVENESS :: COMPASSION :: MERCY
Archangels are responsible for ministering to humans, considered somewhat like 'Manager Angels". Archangels oversee the responsibilities of Guardian Angels and the other Celestial Light Beings that act as our guardians and guides. Each Archangel has specific qualities that will distinguish their characteristics and their specific responsibilities.
Archangel Zadkiel is responsible for Forgiveness, Compassion and Mercy. If invited Archangel Zadkiel will help us in releasing, healing and avoiding negative thought patterns and negative beliefs. This Archangel has a kind and gentle angelic presence; and like all angels comes with unconditional love.

Healing Power of Crystals

Throughout history crystal healing has been documented dating as far back as 1600 BC, where an Egyptian Papyrus gave instructions for crystals healing use. Beads of various stones were worn around the neck of the patient so that the disease could pass through them and dispel.

Different cultures throughout history also revealed that crystals had a tangible effect when worn or placed on the body's energy systems for vibrational healing. All matter is made up of energy and resonates at a particular vibration. When a human body is ill the energy fields surrounding it change in its vibration. Crystals however, are set in their formation and do not alter their vibration, get sick or out of balance.
By placing crystals on the human body they assist the human mind and body to get back to its health state and back to its healthy vibration.

AMETHYST
Over time we will explore different crystals and their uses. My favourite crystal is AMETHYST; I love the various shades of purple and mauve in this crystal. The colour purple has always been my beloved colour all my life, now as an adult working in the energy field I know why. Amethyst is the stone of 'Spirituality and Contentment'.

The name Amethyst come from Ancient Greek :: a - ("not") and methustos ("intoxicated").
This stone has historically been used to encourage and sustain sobriety, assisting in independence from addictions. In Ancient Greeks and Romans believed that drinking from cups created from amethyst was a cure for drunkenness.

This stone brings a sense of calm that dispels anxiety, fear and anger. A piece of amethyst under the marital bed will aid in tranquility in a marriage and prevent arguments. Placing amethyst throughout your home will promotes a calm well being protective environement.

In the book of Exodus, the High Priest Aaron (Brother of Moses) was instructed by God to make a breast plate from specific crystals to wear for protection and wisdom. To this day this crystal is known as the Bishop's Stone and is still worn by Catholic Bishops. Amtheyst symbolizes Godliness, sincerity and wisdom.
This is a great crystal for those who suffer with headaches or migraines, like me. I place refrigerated crystals of amethyst on my temples to alleviate the pain.
