TAROT :: The Emperor

The Emperor is reflective of advice, wisdom, authority, and grounding.
Take a moment to look at the Emperor card; it becomes apparent that the Emperor has been there, done that, and has the battle armor and scars to prove it. The Emperor has gained His wisdom through experience. He's been through the battles, has given wise advise, and has experienced all life can throw at him.

The Emperor brings success, and right around the corner he brings happiness.  You can move forward with courage and conviction, the Emperor has your back. You can be sure if you 'wish on the stars' the Emperor says it will come true.  Anything is possible, but only if you work hard. Be thankful and gratefully accept any opportunities the Emperor shows you.

REVERSED

This may prove to be a very challenging period for you.   You find may find you have little or no support.   You may face rejection from friends, dates, or even work opportunities.  Keep watch there is frustration and jealousy around you.   Stay on track with your dreams, if you believe in them you will get there, it is just a long slow process.

Keep your faith.

'Many of life's failures are people who did not realize how close they were to success when they gave up.'

TAROT :: Meet the EMPRESS

When the EMPRESS shows up in your reading you are very close to reaching your goals. The EMPRESS represents Mother Earth and all of the riches she has to offer.  You have much to be proud of. It's time to reach for the stars and go for the gold because within Mother Earth she holds all the precious gems, minerals and gold. With the EMPRESS you can do anything.

The EMPRESS personifies fertility, prosperity, perhaps a new home, peace, and an abundance of good things to come. For someone waiting for a child to come she often brings good news of babies on the way, or a birth of a new project.

 The Empress brings new energy and spice into a relationship or marriage. Things on the horizon just seem so much brighter. Everything is falling into place.

REVERSED ..............

ROAD BLOCKS, ROAD BLOCKS, ROAD BLOCKS.  The harder you push ,the harder it is to open doors before you.  You are feeling like you are taking two steps forward and five steps backward.  Keep face now, this is just an intermission, things will be back on track soon.  Just let sleeping dogs lie for now. It won't be long before things turn around.

TAROT :: The High Priestess

The High Priestess

The HIGH PREISTESS sits on a throne which resembles a cresent moon. She wears a flowing sky blue gown. The colour blue represents well developed basic intuitive instincts.  In her lap is a book.  Is it the book of knowledge?   The swag of drapes behind her flow in the colour of purple representing our third eye and our spiritual side.  The HIGH PREISTESS knows things. She holds the mysteries of "BEYOND THE PSYCHIC VEIL".  She is your intuition.

It's time to trust your own intuition.  Open up your sixth sense, the awareness within you.  By trusting your gut instincts, you can't go wrong.  Pay attention to your dreams, as they may have keys to events that are unfolding around you.

Things before you may not be what they seem. SO TREAD CAREFULLY.
When THE PREISTESS reveals herself in a reading, she says its time to use your intuitive side.   The path before you may take 30 days to work through.

'TRUST '; she says.  'LISTEN to your INTUITION.'

REVERSED

As hard as it may be, its time to be calm, cool and collected.    There is more here than meets the eye.   You may feel that you are on an emotional rollercoster, so be cautious of whom and where you place your trust.

TAROT :: The Magician

The Magician

While the Fool is off on the adventure, The next card noted as I in the Major Arcana is the Magician.  "I am the Magician" he says and "I have access to all the information in the universe and hold it in my hands.    I can do anything.   There is greatness within me.   I can create anything with the power of my mind and imagination.  I have the ability to manifest anything."   Remember to send the positive to the universe and create your own destiny.  "I can make all your dreams come true."   This is your moment in time where your potential is yet to be realized and you have all the power within you to reach your goals and desires.

Reversed

Beware your friends may not be all they seem.   Someone could be two faced or double cross you.    You may miss out on an opportunity.   Stay true to you and if you follow your instincts things will be ok, but don't be misguided and follow the wrong crowd.  Greed, power and dishonesty may be at play here. Don't trick yourself.

Look at the Magician card what do you see?   Do you see he pulls his power from the Universe.   If you turn it upside down his power will not draw from the earth - it may appear too....... but it would be disceiving.

We leave the Magician to stand before the High Prestess

TAROT :: The Fool

One of my favourite cards in the Tarot is the Fool.   He is numbered as zero and some decks put him at the beginning and others at the end. I prefer to place him at the beginning as he is starting out on a journey, and so we begin.

The Fool is usually depicted as a court jester and usually full of surprises, an adventurer with no set direction, just on the way to a new path.  The Fool is a risk taker, he will meet new people on the way.  The key with The Fool is that he taking a new direction, new relationship, job or start in life.

The Fool is very carefree and sure of himself.   It is an exciting journey for him.   He calls out the inner child in ourselves that wants us to follow our inner instincts.  Take chances and do something wild but not stupid.

REVERSED  The Fool warns don’t do anything foolish - now is not the time to take risks.  Think things through before you act.

Look at the colours in the card how do they make you feel, use your intuition and write down your feelings from this card.

Our adventure continues with The Magician...........

TAROT

Tarot dates back to the 15th century throughout Europe. However, it wasn't until the 18th century that using tarot cards for divination became prevalent. Tarot cards are broken down into two groups  ::  The Major Arcana and The Minor Arcana. The 22 cards that make up the Major Arcana represent key or life turning experiences. The Minor Arcana represents our day-to-day living experiences and has four suits similar to playing cards :: Wands, Swords, Pentacles, Coins & Cups.

The Major Arcana are broken into three groups consisting of seven cards each which the first group symbolizes :: The Realm of the Material World, The Realm of the Intuitive Mind, The Realm of Change.
Many of the Major Arcana cards illustrate an archetypal figure, a figure that is demonstrative of the whole fundamental nature of a type of person. These include a Mother Figure, an Authority Figure, a Strong Figure, a Religious Leader, and many more.  Archetypes can be representative of real people, whether it is in part or as a figurative symbol in a persons life.

Each Minor Arcana suit has a distinct quality all its own. In the Minor Arcana the suits run in fours :: Four Suits, Four Seasons, Four Elements, Four Situations {love, money, work, relationships}. Our everyday experiences are a blend of these four approaches.
Each and every suit represents a distinct aspect of the life of our consultant and each card can be used in a tarot cards spread. The tarot cards will show you how the different suit energies impact your life.

The suits are structured much like our everyday playing cards with ten numbered cards (Ace - Ten) and four court cards (King, Queen, Knight and Page).

In the upcoming weeks I will share the meanings of each of the cards and how to use tarot to enhance your life. You will discover how to use tarot as a tool to help you get in touch with yourself, or people, and the circumstances around you.
