A day in my Life :: The Lost Psychic

I am a great believer of using my intuition, but it never serves me well when I am driving. Especially when driving to new places, I always get lost. It is a well known fact with everyone. How does a psychic get lost?  I should be able to feel my way, right?  It is something that gives many people great laughter over the years. But I think I am just directionally challenged.

I have this habit while I am driving to lose myself in thought.  One time I had an 8 o'clock meeting in one town and suddenly  I realized that I didn't recognize any of the surroundings and was now three hours away. It was a good day I told myself. I explained to my boss somewhat creatively, "there were no accidents, no blood and no one got hurt".   A good day in my books, I say.

Every time I go to my friend Cheryl's I get lost on my way home.   I never take the same way home and I usually have to stop and find someone to give me directions.  (I may have been there quite a few times and I always have to call either on the way there or back).

My family threatens to get me dog tags with if lost please return....... but then I always find a great short cut that takes about a minimum of an hour longer to get somewhere.

One time we were lost in the United States and I had my husband follow the birds flying overhead to get us to where we going.   To my friend it made since (she and I are on the same page and they were hawks); my husband on the other hand thought I was certifiable. But it worked.

I remember about 10 years ago getting lost on my way home from work and I pulled over and sobbed and sobbed.   A friend of mine called me and I was so upset; they explained it was just another adventure and not to worry I would always find my way.  That has always stuck with me.  They got me a compass as a joke.

So now I have my weekly excellent adventures. I look forward to them, I always get to see new things and meet new people.  I always manage to find my way and hey if all else fails, I just follow the birds.  You never know where they will take you.

Lets Dance :: Lets Sing

Today I was driving and a song came on the radio that made me stop.   I haven't heard it for a few years and I had to stop and play it loud.   The song was Lee Ann Womack - I hope you dance.   I love this song.   But today it made me think.   When was the last time I really looked at the future?   When was the last time I danced?  When did I let life control me instead of me taking my world into my hands and create my destiny.

I love that song.   It talked to my soul and boy did it need talking to.    Have you ever felt that you are in a crazy dream and you just can't seem to wake up?   No matter how hard you try you can't get those eyes open.   I think sometimes we are afraid to open them to see the truth in front of us.

Do you ever fear what is happening in your life?    Do we sometimes take the easiest path?   Did you ever lose your voice afraid to speak out?    Many of us would say "been there done that".    What do we do to get out of the rut?  Sometimes the answers are right in front of us but we keep those eyes so tightly closed we can't get out of it.

Well it was a good job that no one was in the truck or even close by because I sang that song with all my might.   Probably why the animals in the area are scared to come out.   It lifted my soul, it moved that black cloud that has prevented me from writing for the last few weeks.   It made me look outside the rut and see that there is a clear road.

The last few months I have not had a lot of music around me.   Well I think music brings us closer to our angels, closer to our souls purpose and it rejuvenates us.

Put on your favorite song.   Sing it out loud.   Put your soul into it and feel the incredible feelings that you get.   I think I looked after the bear problem in our area today.

Start your day with Intentions

When was the last time you started your day with intentions?  Have you ever set intentions for yourself?    We remember back in the day when a father would ask a male suitor of his daughter "What ARE your intentions"?  A young man would have to answer this question very carefully to ensure not to anger the father.

By starting your day with intent it changes the way we think.   It is similar to manifesting a dream.   You begin by setting an intention and you give power and control to your day.   It is like having a goal for the day.   By saying Its a great day today, gives the day the intent that it is going to be a great day.   If you set the intent and follow it for the day you will have a great day.

Sadly many of us, set negative intent without even realizing it.   For instance you are late for work and then you say to yourself "I am going to hit every red light on the way to work!"'  and by gosh you do.   You set the intent while leaving the door that you would have those red lights.    So we need to change our thoughts to a positive outlook.   "Well I am running late but at least I am going to hit every green light on my way."  Without specific intent we sometimes wander aimlessly throughout our day.  With it, we determine our path for the day.  It allows us a purpose and a goal for the day.  We can harness the power of the universe to align and make what we deem as impossible to possible.   Intentions can assist you to maneuver with greater focus and clarity in each day of your life.

So how do you set your intent for the day.   Its simple ask yourself what you would like to accomplish today and then set that as your intent.   When you start your car set the intent to have a safe drive,   a great day at work and a successful day.  If you are a sales person you would set the intent of how many sales you would accomplish.   Without doing this you have no direction you just get what comes your way.   You may have one sale or none you had no focus or goal.

So today set your day with intent.   Give your day a purpose and a goal to aim for start simple.   We will build this up over the next couple of months.

Today my ducks are in a row.  Today I am going to have a great day, I am going to do two random acts of kindness for strangers and I am going to have a successful day at work and have two very happy customers.   Its going to be a GREAT DAY!!!

I wish we could stop time

Its the summer time and do you notice that although the days are longer the days feel shorter.  You try to pack each and every moment into these days.   There is work, parties and your calender gets full very quickly.

I would like to stop the clock or even extend it by 8 hours to get everything done.   These days I find that by the time I finish work, make dinner, clean up, go back to work and sit down to even write it is after 11 pm and I sit there and stare at the screen to tired to write or even think.

So my mission today is to slow down time.   My son is home for 24 hours to move his finance out to Newfoundland with him so I am making every hour count.   The whole house is vibrating with energy to see him.   So this week my vision is to pack in my day before 2 pm and have some down time.   I will envision trying to get all my work done and slow down time.   I will stress this week and I will enjoy my week.   As my friend says ITS A GREAT DAY.

Believe

Many people say to me "I want to Believe"!   They want to know that someone is out there looking after them.   They want to believe that there is something after death.   They want to believe that there is Angels.   They want to believe there is hope.   They want me to validate to them that there is.

Well to be plain and simple there is.  To me there is.   I can see, hear and feel them around me.   It is not so easy for everyone to know that they are there.  In fact many people have no idea that a loved one or angel is around them.  So how can you tell that you have a loved one around you that has passed over?     They show people in so many ways.    It will be a familiar smell, a picture will subtlety be forever crooked or moved, you will wake just before sleep feeling to feel someone is watching you, you will feel someone in the room where no one is there.  Pets will wag there tail excitedly and look at you as if to say "Hey don't you see?"

How do we know there are Angels.   There are countless Angel stories around us all the time.   Many people love to share their Angels stories with me and I love to hear them.   I also have my own Angel story that I will share with you in the upcoming weeks.   At my girlfriends horrific car accident while waiting to be cut out the police officer came and said to her "I came to see the Angel cage."  There was nothing left of her car only a spot that kept her safe and alive.

I just ask my Angels to come and help, be with me or I send them off to help other people.   They are waiting for you to ask for help.   In times of need, trouble or you just need a friend or guidance call on them to help.

Believing is hard.   We all want proof.   Visible proof.  None of the Hebe jeeby  stuff.   You want to see it right before your eyes.   The funny thing is - they are right in front of you.   They do send messages whether it is our loved ones on the other side or our angels and guides.   How many times have you had the message in your head - don't do it, don't go and we ignore it and do it anyway and think - "I knew I shouldn't have"!

Take the time over the next couple of weeks and look for signs - ASK for them - Believe

Smiles

Today, give a stranger one of your smiles.  It might be the only sunshine he sees all day. ~  H. Jackson Brown, Jr.
